Moore of Brooklyn, NY, Factory Engraved No.1 Derringer pistol, Civil War era, manufactured approximately 1862, .41 caliber rim fire, exposed trigger, nickel-plated receiver and handle with factory floral engraved details, 2.5 inch matching nickel-plated barrel with floral engraved details top stamped "D. MOORE PATENTED FEB.19.1861," s#307. Includes a modern hard plastic case.
CONDITION: Good action; fine-plus overall cosmetic condition, good rifled bore with light pitting, excellent barrel with light loss of nickel finish at barrel tip and high wear areas, numerous small dings on frame and barrel as well as scattered areas of oxide, pitting and finish loss to side plates where brass is showing through; trigger with light pitting.
